Ziryab Trio concentrated on performing Arab and Turkish music from the 19th and the 20th century,  works by great classical composers such as Riad Al-Sunbati, Tanburi Jemil Bey or Muhamad Al-Qasabji. The Palestinian/Israeli group consisted of Taiseer Elias (one of the finest oud players in the Middle East), Nassim Dakwar (an emotionally and technically astounding violin player) and Zohar Fresco (a spectacular percussionist), three virtuoso musicians who were also members of the multi-ethnic, Israel-based instrumental ensemble Bustan Abraham.
