The list of Fred Frith's achievements (recordings, collaborations, compositions) couldn't possibly fit onto this page... Let it just be reminded that Fred was one of the founding members of the English avant-rock group Henry Cow, was a member of the sublime (and currently vastly underrated Art Bears), and that he has collaborated with Robert Wyatt, Brian Eno, The Residents, John Zorn, Bill Laswell, Derek Bailey and many more.
Fred Frith crossed the path of Crammed when Marc Hollander (who was -still is- a massive Henry Cow fan) invited him and Cow drummer Chris Cutler to take part in the recording of the second Aksak Maboul album, "Un peu de l'ame des bandits". Marc was subsequently invited to take part in the Art Bears' only-ever tour, and to perform on Fred Frith's "Gravity" album.
Fred guested on Zazou Bikaye's "Noir et Blanc" album, and later entrusted the release of his film soundtrack album "The Top Of His Head" to Crammed's Made To Measure series.
