Considered as one of the most inspired and inventive current young Belgian bands, Amatorski were formed in Ghent by singer/keyboardist Inne Eysermans, guitarist/vocalist Sebastiaan Van den Branden, bass & keyboard player Hilke Ros and drummer Christophe Claeys, and immediately achieved wide recognition in the Benelux with their self-produced, self-released Same Stars We Shared EP.
Inspired by the letters exchanged by Inne's grand-parents during World War II, the EP's opening track "Come Home" conquered the local charts, got airplay on all national radio stations, and was used in a commercial for a famous brand ...
"Hudson", the first video from the new album by Amatorski "from clay to figures"
is premiered by Les Inrockuptibles in France, Noisey/Vice in The Netherlands and Nothing But Hope And Passion in Germany.
Amatorski have associated with renowned, London-based Belgian artists Gus & Stella, who worked to create the visual environment for the album including artwork, a short film documenting the recordings, and the first music video, "Hudson"
The video, an elegant and delicate mix of films, pictures and collages, was shot during Amatorski’s Spanish tour last December.
Amatorski’s new album "from clay to figures" came out on April 14 on CD and double vinyl LP (limited edition incl. download codes) on Crammed Discs.
