Manchester's newest hip hop/soul sensation RAE & CHRISTIAN start with a gritty rendition of BANANEIRA. TRÜBY TRIO unleash their jazzy bossa breakbeat powers onto SEM CONTENCÃO. CHÂTEAU-FLIGHT (aka Gilb-R and I:Cube from Paris) funkify AUGUST DAY SONG. Then comes PETER KRUDER (this time without pal Dorfmeister), offering a fun & catchy, almost 80s synth-pop version of TANTO TEMPO. MONOAURAL, who are carioca producers Berna Ceppas and Kassin (of Moreno Veloso fame) redecorate MAIS FELIZ, and Brazilian-born Beastie Boys producer MARIO CALDATO Jr revisits SO NICE, the track he originally produced for the Tanto Tempo album. ANANDA PROJECT (aka US producer Chris Brann, aka P'taah and Wamdue) launches ALGUÉM from his Atlanta studio onto another planet. SEM CONTENCÃO then receives a mellow Balearic treatment from Ibiza producer SIN PLOMO, whilst London jazzy house legend FAZE ACTION go carnival-mad on CLOSE YOUR EYES. Anglo-Brazilian outfit DA LATA transform AUGUST DAY SONG into a eerie, jazzy journey. CHARI CHARI, the mellow breakmaster from Tokyo, reworks TANTO TEMPO. Enter 4HERO, the mad scientists of broken beats, who totally redesign SAMBA DE BENÇÃ0. Finally, Philly funk soul brother KING BRITT closes the album with a fresh and simple reading of AUGUST DAY SONG.
