Spearheading a new wave of electronic music coming out of Nigeria via the UK, musician/producer/singer Leke Awoyinka aka Ekiti Sound is back with his adventurous and accomplished second album, “Drum Money”, a must-listen for anyone who appreciates genre-defying and boundary-pushing new African music.

As a complement to the album, Ekiti Sound is dropping a series of instrumental versions of five songs off the album, which provide a different, gorgeous listening experience: the tracks — “home-listening gems as much as festival floor-fillers… blending Afrobeat, house and jazz-infused hip-hop”, according to DJ Mag– and the “extraordinary production” (says Bandcamp Daily) shine with enhanced power and charm.

All tracks were produced and programmed by Ekiti Sound, recorded in his Lagos studio, mixed in Lagos and London with Clinton McCreery (Enny, Idris Elba, Maverick Sabre) and in Los Angeles with Stef Morro at irkobeats3 studio (Kanye West, Jay-Z).
