Crammed's current roster includes Konono N°1, Cibelle, Koçani Orkestar, Taraf de Haidouks, Bebel Gilberto, Balkan Beat Box, DJ Dolores, Tuxedomoon, Shantel, Kasai Allstars, Think Of One, Mahala Rai Banda, newcomers Lonely Drifter Karen & Allá, and more.

JUANA MOLINA: new video, tours, back-catalogue reissue

To follow up on the release of her acclaimed new album, Juana Molina is releasing a second music video, and is doing an extensive series of shows this Spring & Summer

Directed by Argentine filmmaker/artist Dr Sepian, the new video was shot in Tierra de Fuego, at the southernmost tip of the South American continent. It's inspired by the Hain initiation ceremonies which used to be performed by the Shelknam people, who were among the original inhabitants of Patagonia. Young men on the verge of puberty were sent out alone in the forest, and had to perform a series of tasks (such as hunting, or fighting demons of the forest) before being considered as grown men and allowed to come back to the fold of the tribe.

Filmed in breathtaking landscapes, this story of magic and rituals works as a perfectly apt visual illustration for a track which was described by Pitchfork as A twisting, live wire of a song that takes the listener's attention hostage and runs off into the woods… and by SPIN Magazine as being eerie, hypnotic, and building to increasingly haunting heights…

Juana Molina is closing her 3-week US tour with an L.A. show on April 27, and will soon be embarking on a long European tour from May to August, which will include appearances at festivals such as Nuits Botanique in Brussels, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Villette Sonique in Paris, Roskilde (DK), Pohoda (SK), SummerStage in New York, Rock al Parque in Bogota (Colombia), Nuits de Fourvière in Lyon (opening for Damon Albarn),  End Of The Road (UK), as well as  shows in London, Amsterdam, Cologne, Frankfurt,  and many more to be announced soon. Meanwhile, Crammed Discs are delighted to announce the digital reissue of Juana Molina's four previous albums, Segundo (originally released in 2000), Tres Cosas (2002), Son (2006) and Un Día (2008), which are now available again through all main digital stores worldwide, as well as on Crammed's online store.
