Kasai Allstars x Khalab x Nihiloxica

A unique collaboration between legendary Kinshasa DRC-based collective Kasai Allstars and Italian maverick producer, artist & DJ Khalab.

Entitled I Need a Modem, this digital EP contains the original version of the song, written and recorded over the net in Kinshasa and Rome, as well as a remix by mighty UK/Ugandan band Nihiloxica. It’s out now on Khalab’s label, Hyperjazz.

This is the second encounter between these artists, after their 2021 collaboration, when Khalab remixed Kasai Allstars The Large Bird, the Woman and the Baby for Kasai Allstars’ Black Ants Remixes EP (which also included reworks by members of Nihiloxica, as well as Deerhoof, Ekiti Sound and Martin Meissonnier.
