The band recorded this mini-album one year after "Holy Wars". It explores two diametrically aspects of their art: three hard and electric tracks, and a suite of introspective, rather acoustic pieces.

During that period, Tuxedomoon toured around the world with a new show which incorporated more and more visual elements, under the direction of Bruce Geduldig (dance, film and slide projections), and elaborate lighting designed by Nina Shaw.
